If the U.S. is to flourish, liberalism must end. America must gravitate towards Conservative policies that uphold morality and preserve our national integrity. Christian faith and morals are values upon which our society, species, civilization, and country should be based.
76 TENETS of the COMMON SENSE Platform (revision "N", 1/19/2010)
1. The rights of American citizens will override all other facets of domestic and foreign policy.
2. U.S. policies will always be guided by Integrity and High Moral Values.
3. Human Life will be protected from Conception until natural death. The government will not make war [including abortion and euthanasia] on its own citizens.
x. "Separation of Church and State" will not be interpreted as Separation of GOD and State.
x. The Institution of Marriage will be applicable only between a Man and a Woman.
4. American rights and freedoms will be extended to all legal members of U.S. society including the unborn, the aged, the infirm, the sick, disabled, elderly and veterans.
5. Any Natural Resources found within the U.S. will be used to the full extent necessary to sustain its Citizens.
x. America will become Self Sustaining in Manufacturing, Energy, Agriculture and will be dependant on no other country.
6. "The Government" will not be considered as a separate entity from the People.
7. "The Government" refers to a body of Citizens, duly elected by a vote of the U.S. populace, responsible for safeguarding all U.S. Citizens in general.
x. Proof of eligibility for office will be required of all political aspirants.
x. Government officials will answer to the people, not to the president.
8. All duly elected members of Congress will be limited to a maximum of two separately elected 4-year terms at a pre-defined rate of compensation - such compensation being provided only for the duration of said term[s].
x. Elections will be synchronized to the maximum extent possible in order to limit the frequency of balloting and associated expenses.
x. When the elected members of government abide by these common sense policies, there is no need to submit initiatives directly to public vote, thus saving additional election expenses.
x. All duly elected representatives will be expected to fully honor their oath of office wherein they have sworn to Protect and Defend the Constitution of the United States
x. Elected representatives of all levels of government will be subject to recall if found to be violating the trust of their constituents. x. There will be no unelected advisers or czars within the Executive Branch or elsewhere.
x. Senators will be appointed by the State Legislatures and will answer to their States for their votes.
9. Congress will make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives, and Congress will make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States.
10. Congress will strive to minimize bureaucracy.
xx. The function of the Government will minimally impact the U.S. Citizens.
11. The Government will not create an environment of rules which over-regulates and over-taxes U.S. Citizens or places unreasonable burdens on Society.
xx. The Government will be, above all, guardian of the common good (peace, order, freedom, justice).
xx. Government's function will be to guide Society towards the common goods.
13. The primary role of the Government will be to uphold the Constitution; only legislation that is
Constitutional will be considered by Congress.
xx. Legislation will not be considered if it promises no benefit to U.S. Citizens disregards their freedoms, or does not encourage their prosperity.
xx. Government will never assume a dictatorial role over private matters of U.S. Citizens, assuming, rather, only those roles vital to U.S. interests.
16. The Government will always abide by majority opinion, never forcing policies upon nor subjugating the Will of the People - tyrannical rule will not be tolerated.
xx. The Government will assume only duties which protect U.S. Citizens, including the future of the extremely young and the frailty and wisdom of the elderly,.and will in no way undermine their basic freedoms.
xx. Government will not dismiss the vital roles of free choice, voluntary cooperation and moral integrity.
xx. The function of the government is to govern its citizens, not replace them.
xx. The Government will not reduce U.S. Citizens to wards of the state, nor disregard individual differences in talent, drive, personal appeal and work ethic.
18 U.S. taxpayers will never be compelled to subsidize the propagatation of ideas which are disapproved by the majority of Citizens.
23. The primary role of Congress will be to tend existing legislation, not create more.
xx. Any new legislation introduced will be subject to thorough public scrutiny.
xx All Government proceedings will be fully transparent and accountable.
xx. Duly approved legislation may only be authorized by passing through conventional Congressional channels.
xx. Overt coercesion from special interest groups will not be tolerated.
xx. Acceptance of overt influence from a special interest group will be regarded as treasonous.
xx. Any attempt to influence a public official through monetary reimbursement will be treated as conspiracy.
xx. Neither governmental regulation of the free market nor nationalization of private business/industry will not be allowed..
26. The Government will not attempt to introduce legislation of a socialist nature.
xx. The Government will not attempt to redistribute wealth nor enforce contributions to any organization or sub-grouping of individuals.
27. The Government will not impose economic or social equality on U.S. Citizens.
33. All articles of the Declaration of Independence will be guaranteed.
xx. Circumvention of Constitutional checks and balances will not be tolerated xx. The Constitution, as written, will be upheld - not considered as "a living, breathing document", and not subject to change without proper ratification.
34. All articles of the Constitution and Original Ten Amendments will be upheld.
xx. All rules, regulations, laws, court decisions and governmental agencies that were passed, ruled upon or created in violation of the original intent of the first Ten Amendments will be dismantled and rendered null and void.
xx. The borders of the United States will be sacred and protected.
xx. Immigrants to the U.S. will adapt to American customs.
37. The official language of the United States of America will be English.
xx. Undocumented immigrants and their immediate offspring will be considered illegal and thus subject to deportation or foster care.
39. Any bill presented will be no greater than ten pages in length (Arial size 10 font), written not using legal terminology but in readily understood language.
40. The Sovereignty of each State will be recognized.
xx. Governmental authorities will answer directly to the Governors of each State.
41. Freedom of the Individual will always be respected.
42. Individual sovereignty will never be subordinate to governmental authority..
xx. Those functions which can be accomplished on a local level, by the People or by the State, will not be considered as jurisdiction of the federal government.
xx. As a predominately Christian Nation, the U.S. will retain appropriate public displays and observances of prayer, worship or opinion.
44. No law will be mandated to appease any one sub-grouping of individuals.
45. No sub-grouping of individuals will be allowed to erode American Freedoms.
46. U.S. policies will not be intimidated by international opinion.
xx. American lifestyle will not be impeded by foreign encroachment.
47. American achievements and interests will never be denigrated.
49. Historical precedents will always be referenced per current efficacy.
51. Entitlement, indulgence and compensation are not roles of the Government
54. Government will strive to minimize or negate the National Debt, operating within, and aintaining a balanced budget.
56. Government will not allow the U.S. to become indebted to foreign powers.
xx Government will strive to eliminate the Federal Income Tax, adopting instead a minimal flat Tax.
57. It is not the function of the government to provide health care; Congress has no authority to legislate or direct medical practice.
58. Except in so far as ensurng public safety, the government has no authority to legislate food products or nutritional supplements.
60. Government will not attempt to compensate for natural conditions of the Earth, climatic or otherwise.
xx. Education will be a Local School Board issue - the Department of Education will be abolished. It is not the function of the government control curriculum.
xx. No war will be instituted without declaration by Congress.
xx. The freedoms of the Many will outweigh the needs of the Few.
xx. No Court will be allowed to produce interpretations that defy the original intent of the particular law.
76. The Federal Reserve will be abolished and associated debt canceled, with Congress controlling monies under a gold standard.

Revision "N" (above) submitted for further review (some new tenets [encompassing "F.L.I.P. Principles" and "The 5 Pledges", "The Function of Civil Authority" + much more, some as yet unnumbered others re-numbered/re-grouped, "shall" replaced by "will").
There may be some redundancy so some degree of consolidation will certainly be necessary; hopefully all feedback is included. As always - feel free to voice dissent and/or make suggestions.
Certainly these Tenets may be incorporated by the Republican Party, viewed as an accompaniment to the "Traditional Republic: Town Revival Platform" (http://www.anamericanrevival.com/) or accompaniement to another existing conservative element (I originally envisioned a "Common Sense Party", but a "Common Sense Platform" could be more readily considered).

Palin/Ryan, Romney/Palin or Palin/Beck under "Common Sense" in 2012!
We need someone like Sarah Palin and/or Glenn Beck and/or Sean Hannity for the Common Sense Party. Sarah Palin currently has no affiliation. Maybe if we act fast, we can recruit her. I don't know how to establish contact with her - I hope someone can..

If the U.S. is to flourish, liberalism must end. America must gravitate towards Conservative policies that uphold morality and preserve our national integrity.Christian faith and morals are values upon which our society, species, civilization, and country should be based.
Liberals have striven to eradicate religion in society under the banner of "separation of church and state" which was NEVER MEANT TO BE A SEPARATION OF GOD AND STATE but, rather, a deterrent to the aligning of government with any one particular Christian branch.

I fear that not even the Republican Party can hope to reign in a governmental system that has spiraled out of control, and I submit that nothing less than redefining and reinforcing our very foundation upon Common Sense logic is called for.
Such logic dictates that we create a strict political platform - the COMMON SENSE Platform.
Above is an outline of (approximately 76) basic tenets (revised per feedback) on which the COMMON SENSE Platform will be founded.
In reviewing the 9/12 articles after writing this first draft, it is noted that the 9th Principle has essentially been included. A philosophical addage adapted from Spock in "Star Trek II" also seemed appropriate.
This revised draft is certainly far from complete. Please feel free to edit, add to, delete from, expand, consolidate, revise and/or otherwise modify the content as you deem appropriate.
Not that I intend to control the content, but to maintain continuity and ensure consideration of all input, I ask that all suggestions be submitted to myself as well as posted publicly.
The goal is to create a clear and concise grouping of bylaws.
